Danish Ocean Cluster Participates in Arctic Circle Assembly
Last week, the Danish Ocean Cluster represented Denmark at this year’s Arctic Circle Assembly. Chairman of the Board, Linn Indrestrand, participated in a debate on investment opportunities in the Arctic and the economic initiatives needed to promote a more sustainable ocean economy.
The debate was moderated by Verineia Codrean, Senior Advisor at FRONTTIER, and the panel included experts such as:
• Even Ovnerud, Founding Partner at Oxidane Venture
• Virginia E. Vegas, Managing Director at FRONTTIER
• Fertram Sigurjonsson, President & CEO at Kerecis
• Thordur Reynisson, Senior Innovation Advisor at Nordic Innovation
• Linn Indrestrand, Head of Fishery and Maritime Services at Port of Hirtshals and Chairman of the Board at Danish Ocean Cluster
The debate held particular significance for the Danish Ocean Cluster, which is the Danish partner in the Nordic Ocean Opportunity Project. This initiative aims to bridge the financing gap in the Nordic ocean economy and attract private capital to sustainable solutions through research and the promotion of Nordic ocean investment opportunities.
