The Danish Pelagic Producers Organization (DPPO) represents Danish fishing vessels that catch pelagic species such as herring, mackerel, and horse mackerel. The organization works for sustainable and modern fishing, promotes technological innovation and research, and implements initiatives such as electronic monitoring of fishing vessels. DPPO also runs the “Pelagic Academy,” which provides education and training for fishermen, researchers, and students.
